VENUE MANAGER

The Fulcrum Group is hiring for a Venue Manager to manage the event bookings and production at our flagship event venue located at Eden Rift Vineyards, a luxury winery in Hollister, California, near the Monterey Bay. The Venue Manager is a key driver of revenue growth and is on the front lines for selling to prospective venues clients. This role requires strong relationship management, high-level customer service, and complex problem-solving abilities. The Venue Manager must be professional and knowledgeable about the property with a passion for events and wine! This is a hybrid event production/sales position and will be on a regular schedule of Tuesday-Saturday. The Venue Manager reports to the Director of Venue Management.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for target clients that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.

  • Conduct site tours of the property. 

  • Manage high-touch events at the venue, providing excellent service to clients the day of their event.

  • Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand the depth of the partnership and their venue needs for future events.

  • Consult with clients to determine event details; recommend appropriate rental products, guide clients on event layout based on the event needs; where appropriate attend client logistic and event planning meetings, and post-production client debriefings.

  • When applicable, submit permits for use, fire, and safety as determined by local ordinances and event needs. 

  • Utilize CRM to manage venue booking calendar, respond and track leads, collect venue payments, and maintain client and account information.

  • Submit accurate sales commission reports.

  • Stay up to date on the competition’s offerings, pricing, advertising, and promotions.

  • Attend industry-related functions as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and goal-driven.

  • Ability to understand client needs and handle the negotiation process.

  • Proficient in MS Office or Google suite.

  • Experience with CRM software.

  • Experience in the event or catering industry.

  • CA driver's license and a reliable vehicle. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • May be exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures while working outside.

  • Regular schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, may work days, evenings, and/or weekends depending on the event schedule.

  • Must be able to sit at a desk and/or stand for long periods.

  • Able to lift 50lbs.
