WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A Senior Event Executive is a key driver of revenue growth for the company and is on the front lines for selling our product and brand portfolio to prospective clients and existing customers. The position will develop and execute plans and strategies to service existing customers while meeting or exceeding profitability goals with the responsibility of acquiring new business and growing the current customer base. This position requires strong relationship management. Ability to work on a sales team in a fast-paced, complex environment is critical for success in this role.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy for the assigned market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability

  • Gather and utilize business intelligence to support sales calls, presentations and drive new business

  • Stay abreast of competition’s offerings, pricing, advertising and promotions; submits ideas for new products, services, fees, merchandising strategies, promotions, etc.

  • Develop and create a new client pipeline by selling our brand and entire line of products

  • Cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients to understand the depth of the partnership and their rental needs for future events

  • Manage multiple sales prospects and opportunities at a time

  • Consult with clients to determine event details; recommend appropriate rental products, product setup and event layout based on the client’s needs; conduct site inspection and/or measure and record event site for tenting and space planning; prepare presentations and proposals for client meetings; attend client logistic and event planning meetings, and post-production client debriefings

  • Provide timely and accurate customer quotes and orders; work with management for the approval of pricing changes while maintaining maximum profit margins

  • Review expectations and/or timelines of customer events with operational and event staff in internal production meetings; if required, attend customer events to supervise installation and/or direct event staff during installation

  • Utilize CRM/contact management resources to manage customer sales strategies and activities to ensure account penetration

  • Respond to customer service problems and resolve complaints

  • Conduct “lessons learned” analysis of sold events to ensure future success and customer satisfaction

  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the company’s available services, product line and pricing structure for Abbey Party Rents, One True Love Vintage, Table + Teaspoon, and our event venue offerings

  • Submit Sales Commission Reports in accordance with stated timelines

  • Attend industry related functions as a representative of Fulcrum Group

  • Attend department, location, and safety meetings


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the event industry is required; a personal book of business is a major plus

  • Familiarity with Point of Rental software preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  • Good communication skills and problem-solving experience

  • Deadline and detailed oriented

  • Basic understanding of math skills

  • Basic understanding of business ethics

  • Ability to understand client needs and handle the negotiation process

  • Computer skills, especially MS Office and CRM software

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures while working outside

  • May work days, evenings, or weekends as required to execute events for clients


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time

  • Be able to lift 75 lbs


COMPENSATION

  • ​Base Salary Range (Annual): $50,000 - $65,000

  • Target Commission Opportunity (Annual): $45,0000 - $65,000


BENEFITS AFTER 90-DAYS

  • Travel and Telephone Reimbursements: You will be compensated for company-related travel in your personal vehicle when you start doing site visits and attending industry events. You will receive $50 per month for use of your personal cell phone for company-related calls.

  • Vacation: Team members earn 3.077 hours of paid vacation for each full pay period of employment after the first 90 days

  • Health & Dental for the employee (Eligible after 90 days); employer pays 100% of the basic premiums for the employee only

  • Upgraded plans are available at the employee’s expense

  • Dependent coverage is available at the employee’s expense

  • Flexible Spending Account (Eligible after 90 days)
