WEBSITE DEVELOPER INTERNSHIP

Fulcrum Group makes entertaining easy. We are a forward-thinking company focused on infusing innovation into the events industry and paving the way for the future of events post-pandemic. Our portfolio of brands includes Table + Teaspoon (Rent the Runway for table settings and parties nationwide), Abbey Party Rents (a traditional large-scale event rental company serving the San Francisco Bay Area), One True Love Vintage (curated one-of-a-kind vintage furniture and décor that is rentable throughout Northern California), and our collection of exclusive event venues in some of California’s most iconic locations that will be debuting in the coming months.

Fulcrum Group is looking for a passionate coder to join our team. You will work closely with the CEO and Director of Administrative Operations. The ideal candidate is either new to the scene academically but has been coding since second grade – or curious about becoming a developer and taken enough classes to be a helpful addition to our team. You're familiar with managing websites on Wix (or a similar platform) and Shopify, and can create and code HTML web pages and emails. You are stoked about offering your own ideas – while always keeping it poised and elegant. Most importantly, you're enthusiastic and hungry to learn.

This is an unpaid internship with a commitment of 12-20 hours per week. We're looking for someone who is currently enrolled in an academic program or has recently graduated. There may be an opportunity to convert into a paid position once the events industry recovers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop websites as needed for our portfolio of brands (we currently use Wix and Shopify)

  • Actively monitor top brands for website trends both within the events industry and in general

  • Work closely with our Director of Administrative Operations to ensure our websites are up to date and optimized for best performance

  • Offer input on new databases for our growing operations

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant area of academic study

  • Knowledgeable about Wix and Shopify (if you are more comfortable with a platform other than Wix, we can work together to transfer the sites to another platform)

  • Familiarity with HTML coding

  • Interested in the events industry

Bonus Points:

  • A strong design eye
