Fulcrum Group is looking for a creative storyteller to join our team. You will work closely with our team on social media, public relations, and marketing. The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker who knows how to create compelling narratives – whether it's in an Instagram story, a soon-to-be-viral video, or a blog post. You're familiar with mainstream social media platforms and aren't afraid to experiment – while always keeping it poised and elegant. Most importantly, you're enthusiastic and hungry to learn.

This is an unpaid internship with a commitment of 12-20 hours per week starting in January 2022 and lasting for 10 weeks. We're looking for someone who is currently enrolled in an academic program or has recently graduated. There may be an opportunity to convert into a paid position as the events industry recovers.


  • Develop creative social media strategies to engage with B2B and B2C audiences

  • Actively monitor events industry social channels to insert our brands into relevant conversations

  • Create social media content (copy, photos, videos, stories) and strategize posting schedules

  • Work closely with our publicist to keep track of media coverage

  • Produce internal emails to inform employees about media coverage and inspire them to like and comment on our posted content

  • Assist in editing and writing marketing content

  • Keep tabs on competitor and industry influencers social media pages for trends and inspiration


  • Pursuing a degree in a relevant area of academic study

  • Knowledgeable about LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, SnapChat, Facebook, and Instagram

  • Familiarity with Canva and other relevant software/programs

  • Can distill complex business ideas into easy-to-understand content

  • Able to write eye-catching headlines that include provocative turns of phrase

  • Interested in the events industry

  • Able to commute to our headquarters in Daly City, CA

Bonus Points:

  • Ability to create media assets, such as audio, video and graphics

  • Photoshop acumen
